About the Healthy Auburn Waters Campaign

The Healthy Auburn Waters campaign -- sponsored by the City of Auburn, CA –- is a public education program that teaches residents how to properly dispose of chemicals; pesticides; cooking fats, oils and grease; and motor oil and fuel.  This web site provides information about these groups of household hazardous wastes (HHW), issues of concern and proper ways to dispose of them.

Residents should learn how to properly dispose of HHW. Do not dump any of these items down the sink drain, into the toilet or down the storm drains. The Healthy Auburn Waters campaign seeks to protect Auburn waterways and improve the health of our environment.

Various elements of this campaign will reach out to residents and businesses. This site will be regularly updated with information about public outreach projects, HHW collection events, news and other helpful information. Feel free to contact us with questions or suggestions.
