120 cars dropped of medical waste at the City office parking lot. The October 11 Pharmaceutical Collection Day was a success. Over 120 vehicles drove through the parking lot at the City Offices during the four-hour event. Nearly an entire two-yard bin was filled with unwanted and unused pharmaceutical wastes saving them from potentially going down the drain.
Police collected the unwanted and unused pharmaceutical waste. Police were on hand to manage controlled and uncontrolled substances and ensure that they were safely collected and transported to an incineration facility.
Nearly a two-yard bin was filled. Various items were collected including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
