Identifying Household Hazardous Waste

Use common sense when handling chemicals, automotive products and pesticides. Labels with DANGER, CAUTION, WARNING, FLAMMABLE, POISON, REACTIVE, CORROSIVE, or HARMFUL WHEN SWALLOWED OR EXPLOSIVE should be handled and used carefully and disposed of properly. The following sites may help you determine if your product is considered hazardous waste. Also refer to the Western Placer Waste Management Authority for additional information (www.WPWMA.com).
