FREE Composting Workshop
The City of Auburn in partnership with the Placer County Master Gardeners hosted two composting workshops this fall. Attendees (from within the city limits) received a FREE composting bin!
Saturday, October 16
and
Saturday, November 6
10:00 a.m. to Noon
Auburn City Hall, Rose Room
1225 Lincoln Way in Auburn
The workshops taught how to compost yard waste, kitchen scraps and other organic material. Participants met in the Rose Room for the presentation/discussion and moved to the City Park Preserve for hands-on instruction. At the end of the two-hour workshop, participants earned a FREE* compost bin.
These workshops filled up quickly. Only 30 bins were available during each workshop. Residents from outside of the city limits were welcome to attend but did not receive bins. Each workshop was full! Read more in this Auburn Journal article.
